As care providers ourselves Abbott Healthcare understands how difficult it is to provide all the training staff need using different training companies – we have developed an alternative training package – which meets all the requirements for a fixed, affordable sum.

Induction – Mandatory Requirements - Study Days – NVQ’s

You want to learn from the best, which is why our instructors are among the most highly skilled and qualified in the industry. In addition to their clinical and technical skills, their aim is to make your training course a relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Abbott Healthcare boasts one of the most experienced management teams in the care homes training industry.

As providers of certification training, our tutors and training centre has been assessed as meeting the standards required by the appropriate bodies – such as CSCI and the National Occupational Standards. We see this as being the foundation of our commitment to quality, not the extent of it. As a measure of this, we provide an additional guarantee of quality.

If, for any reason, the quality of the course is not consistent with the standards required by the care provider, the same delegate may resit the course again, using the original course material, at no extra cost.

We will provide the following:

• Induction training. Work books to check both theory and practical application, working to the National Occupational Standards and Skillsforcare.
• Moving and Handling. Full day induction course and annual half day refreshers.
• Food hygiene. Full day
• Fire Safety Awareness
• Heath and Safety Awareness.
• Infection Control
• Safe Handling of Medication
• Statutory 3 days per annum –
  In order to meet the requirement for 3 days training per year we offer 6 study days, so that you can mix and match staff needs with study topics. The course content can be planned to meet your company needs.
• NVQ’s
  50% of your staff should have attained level 2 in care – how are you doing?
  As care providers we know how hard this target can be to meet – we have also solved the problem – and we can show you how to solve it too.
